Macaroons
Use up the egg whites from the Lemon Butter recipe, Mom Quantz
- 3 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp corn starch
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups coconut
Combine egg whites, cream of tartar and sugar in double boiler over medium head until stiff.
Remove from heat and fold in cornstarch, vanilla and coconut.
Drop by spoonful onto lined baking sheet, bake in slow oven (300 degrees) until brown.
