Macaroons

Use up the egg whites from the Lemon Butter recipe, Mom Quantz
Course Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp corn starch
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups coconut

Instructions
 

  • Combine egg whites, cream of tartar and sugar in double boiler over medium head until stiff.
  • Remove from heat and fold in cornstarch, vanilla and coconut.
  • Drop by spoonful onto lined baking sheet, bake in slow oven (300 degrees) until brown.
